Honoring Birth, Holding Mothers

Where Autonomy, Wisdom, and Motherhood Meet

Hi, I'm Destiniy Bullis, your local holistic doula!

I hold space for expecting mothers in Clarksville Tennessee, Fort Campbell Kentucky, Franklin Tennessee, & Nashville Tennessee.

I’m here to support you in creating a birth and postpartum experience rooted in trust, autonomy, and deep nourishment—for both you and your baby.

The Roots of My Journey + What Working Together Looks Like

Hi, I’m Destiniy— a holistic doula, mother of five, and steadfast believer in the wisdom of the body and the sacredness of birth.

Since 2016, I’ve been walking alongside women and families during their sacred transition. I have been supporting families in Clarksville and Nashville, Tennessee, since 2019  through home births, birth center births, and the tender postpartum season. My work is rooted in autonomy, physiological birth, and honoring the sacred bond between mother and baby.

As a mother myself, I understand the depth, beauty, and challenges that come with pregnancy, birth, and beyond. I bring not only years of professional experience, but also the lived wisdom of navigating these journeys five times over.

My offerings are designed to nurture and empower mothers in every season of motherhood. These include:

  • One-on-one childbirth education to prepare you with confidence and clarity.

  • Courses and eBooks that honor holistic wisdom and modern evidence-based knowledge.

  • Placenta encapsulation for nourishing postpartum recovery.

  • Keepsake jewelry to hold your motherhood journey close to your heart.

  • A monthly membership that gives mothers ongoing support, resources, and a sense of community.

  • Mother’s circles & support groups where you can share, heal, and connect with other women.

I believe the postpartum period, especially the first forty days, is a sacred window of healing and bonding that deserves to be deeply honored. Through my care, my teaching, and my community offerings, I aim to restore the tradition of mothers being supported, nourished, and truly seen.

Birth is not just about bringing a baby into the world, it’s also about the unfolding of a mother. It’s my honor to hold space for both.

I do not replace the role of your partner, but rather we come together to better serve you as a birthing team. I equip you and your birth partner with the necessary tools to make informed decisions about birthing preferences & to feel empowered by birth.

The roots of my journey

I believe birth is not just a medical event—it’s a deeply transformative experience. My calling as a doula began with the births of my own children, each one teaching me more about trust, surrender, and the sacred design of our bodies. I am passionate about walking alongside mothers so they feel seen, heard, and fully supported in their choices.

The Way I Serve Mothers

I am rooted in autonomy and physiological birth, honoring both evidence-based wisdom and the ancient traditions of mother care. My role is never to take over, but to hold space, offer guidance, and provide the nourishment and tools you need to trust your own instincts.

Whether you’re preparing for birth, resting in the first forty days postpartum, or navigating the early months of motherhood, I provide holistic support that weaves together education, intuition, and community. From placenta encapsulation and keepsake jewelry to courses, memberships, and intimate circles, each offering is created to nurture you as you step into motherhood. As a mom of five, I’ve lived through the sleepless nights, the sweet newborn smells, the healing, the joy, and the challenges. I know what it feels like to crave support, to wonder if you’re doing it “right,” and to long for someone who understands. That’s why I do this work- I want every mother to feel held, honored, and empowered in her own story.

My care doesn’t stop once your baby arrives. I believe in honoring the first forty days of rest and recovery, and supporting the sacred mother–baby dyad as you find your rhythm together. Whether through one-on-one education, group circles, or continued community support, I’m here to remind you that you were never meant to do this alone.

Helping mothers reclaim birth

•TWO DAYS POSTPARTUM•

The world feels softer now-slower, quieter. Two days since birth, and your body is still in the sacred in-between. The womb that held life is gently contracting back, your milk is beginning to come in, and every ache, tear, and swell tells the story of how powerfully you brought your baby earthside.

You may feel raw and tender, both physically and emotionally. The hormones are shifting, your body is learning a new rhythm, and your heart is expanding in ways you never knew possible.

Now is the time to surrender.
To rest.
To be held.

Let warm soups and teas comfort your core. Keep your socks on, stay cozy, and allow your body to stay warm (it’s rebuilding from the inside out).

You are not meant to do it all right now. You are meant to *be*. To rest, to bond, to heal.
Every moment you spend wrapped up with your baby is medicine, for both of you.
Arlo got his first adjustment this week. We had a rough start to this postpartum journey, but I am beyond thankful for every second I am getting to love on our sweet boy. I’m also thankful for our chiropractor Dale, who was able to help me when I was in immense pain this week. Both Dale and his staff prayed over me before we left and I just feel so grateful for the support we have here. @wildrootswellnesstn
