Helping mothers reclaim birth

Watermelon is one of the best hydrating fruits to enjoy during the summer for pregnancy & postpartum hydration. πŸ‰β˜€οΈ

Do you prefer watermelon with or without salt??
The first 24 hours after birth are holy.

They are not meant to be rushed, bright, or filled with noise.

They are for stillness. For skin to skin & that fresh newborn scent. For soft words and the sacred breath of a new mother and her baby syncing into life on the outside.

This is the moment the maiden exhales her final breath… and the mother inhales her first.

In these hours, your hormones are singing ancient songsβ€”oxytocin floods your system, your milk begins its descent, and your womb contracts as if whispering: β€œYou did it.”

Let no one disturb this rite of passage.

Not the charting nurse, not the phone camera, not the pressure to entertain visitors.
This is your threshold moment. Sink into it.

If you’re preparing for birth, plan for this window. Guard it. Ask your partner to be your gatekeeper.
Let this time be uninterrupted, unfiltered, and deeply yours.

Because the first 24 hours aren’t just recovery time.
They’re becoming time.
And they deserve to be honored.

If you don’t know your options, you truly don’t have any at all. If you follow your provider blindly without any research on your options you won’t know what decisions to make when a potential intervention is laid on the table as an option for you. Policy is not law. Not every woman’s body needs pitocin- though this is an intervention that is sometimes necessary that is not always the case. You can decline cervical exams, as well opt for intermittent monitoring & freedom of movement. Once the cascade of interventions is started the higher the chances of a csection increases. This is your body, baby, & birth. Let’s reclaim birth.

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb – Psalms 139:13
